What is Coaching?

Do I know what type of service can help in my case?

Coaching is distinct from counselling, consulting, teaching, mentoring, and therapy. While a coach may suggest when another type of support could be beneficial, the core of coaching is to facilitate thinking through powerful questions that enable clients to arrive at their own insights and solutions.
This approach creates sustainable, long-term impact, as it strengthens awareness, ownership, and decision-making capability, rather than providing direct advice or predefined solutions. Coaching focuses primarily on the present and future—on what can be developed, improved, and achieved now. While past experiences may occasionally be explored when relevant to the client’s goals, they are not the central focus of coaching sessions.
Ultimately, the responsibility for progress lies with the client. Coaching requires commitment, including time, energy, and focus, as well as consistency in taking action between sessions to create meaningful change.
